Thaddeus Beczak
Chairman


Thaddeus Beczak is the Chairman of Cowen Latitude Asia. Mr. Beczak is responsible for guiding the Firm's overall strategic development and helps to manage senior level relationships for the Firm. Mr. Beczak possesses over 25 years of working experience in Asia in Investment Banking, Property and Media fields and is currently a member of the Advisory Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Mr. Beczak also serves as the non-executive Chairman of ACR Capital Holdings, a pan-Asian reinsurance group, and the non-executive Chairman of Artisan Du Luxe Holding Limited. Mr Beczak’s independent non-executive directorships include Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings Limited, Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation Limited, Pacific Online Limited and Arnhold Holdings Limited.

Mr. Beczak was the independent non-executive director of Namtai Electronic & Electrical Products Limited from May 2004 to May 2009. From June 2004 until March 2008, Mr. Beczak was the Senior Advisor at Nomura International (Hong Kong) Limited and was also the Chairman of Nomura Asia Holding N.V. From June 2006 until May 2007, Mr. Beczak was the member of the Advisory Committee of the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong. In the period from 1997 to 2003, Mr. Beczak was a Director of Kerry Holdings Limited, Deputy Chairman and Publisher of SCMP Holdings Limited, Deputy Chairman of Shangri-La Asia Limited, Deputy Chairman of Kuok Philippines Properties. He was also a director of China World Trade Center Limited and Kerry Properties Limited. From 1997 until 2002, Mr. Beczak was Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and a member of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Board of Directors from 1998 until 2001. From 1991 until 1998 Mr. Beczak was President of J.P. Morgan Securities Asia.

Mr. Beczak holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he is a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Foreign Service.

Frank K. Au
CEO


Frank K. Au is the CEO of Cowen Latitude Asia, the wholly-owned Asia subsidiary of Cowen Group, which has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. Mr. Au is responsible for leading all aspects of Cowen’s businesses in Asia including capital markets, M&A and private placements. Prior to his appointment as CEO of Cowen Latitude Asia, Mr. Au was the President and co-founder of Latitude Capital Group, which was acquired by Cowen Group in 2008. He is based in the Firm's Hong Kong office and currently focuses on covering the alternative energy, consumer, health care, industrial, media and technology sectors in Asia.

Mr. Au is currently a Board Director of CDC Software (NASD: CDCS) and CDC Games, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation (NASD: CHINA). Previously, Mr. Au was the Head of Media investment banking in Greater China for Lehman Brothers Asia. Mr. Au has extensive investment banking experience across all areas of corporate finance including equity and debt capital raising, as well as mergers and acquisition advisory having worked in both Lehman's New York and Hong Kong offices in the Technology, Telecom and Industrial/LBO Groups.

Mr. Au holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics/East Asian Studies from Columbia University.

Peter Kuo
Managing Director


Peter Kuo is a Managing Director of Cowen Latitude and is based in the Firm’s Hong Kong office. Mr. Kuo will expanding on driving the Firm’s investment banking coverage of the TMT and Consumer sectors.

Prior to joining Cowen Latitude, Mr. Kuo founded and was the head of Susquehanna International Group (SIG)’s China Investment Banking practice, where he led the firm to become a Top 10 underwriter of US-listed China IPOs. Mr. Kuo has over 10 years of investment banking experience working with growth companies in both corporate finance and financial advisory transactions.

During his career, he has raised over $5 billion in the US capital markets for China-based companies. Previously in his career, Mr. Kuo was with WR Hambrecht + Co, Soundview Technology Group and Broadview International (currently, Jefferies Group).

Mr. Kuo was a Fulbright Scholar, and holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BSFS degree from Georgetown University. 

Simone Song
Managing Director


Simone Song is a Managing Director of Cowen Latitude Asia and focuses on covering the Healthcare and Consumer sectors. Ms. Song is the co-head of the firm's Asia Healthcare practice and is responsible for developing senior corporate and governmental relationships in China. Ms. Song is based in the Firm's Hong Kong office. Previously, Ms. Song was a Vice President in the corporate finance division of KGI Asia, a leading regional Asian investment bank, and an Associate in the corporate finance division of J.P. Morgan Securities Asia.

Ms. Song is currently a member of the Advisory Board of AXA Investment Managers, a subsidiary of the AXA Group and a former Executive Advisor to the Board of AXA Asia Pacific, a subsidiary of the AXA Group.

Ms. Song holds a MA from Claremont Graduate School and a BA from Fudan University.

Constant Tang
Managing Director


Mr. Tang is a Managing Director of Cowen Latitude Asia. He is co-head of the firm's Asia Healthcare practice and leads the firm’s Asia Semiconductor investment banking efforts. Mr. Tang is responsible for all aspects of deal execution as well as new business origination. He is based in the Firm's Hong Kong office. Mr. Tang has extensive experience in the Asian investment banking environment. He had spent 7 years with Latitude Capital in Hong Kong before it was acquired by Cowen and Company in 2008. Prior to Latitude Capital, Mr. Tang was an Equity Research Analyst with Lehman Brothers Asia and a Management Consultant with Deloitte Consulting.

Mr. Tang holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Licensed Professional Engineer.

Jason Mueller
Director


Jason Mueller is a Director of Cowen Latitude Asia and leads the Firm's Asia equity capital markets practice. Mr. Mueller is responsible for all aspect of deal execution as well as new business origination. He is based in the Firm's Hong Kong office.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Mueller worked for four years in Corporate Development roles, formulating growth strategies and managing M&A initiatives in Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe. Previously Mr. Mueller served as Director of Corporate Development for 24/7 Media Asia Limited, a subsidiary of Nasdaq listed Chinadotcom Corporation, where he was responsible for strategy development, M&A, and new market entry for the marketing and advertising focused division. During his time at 24/7, the company completed several acquisitions and expanded into 5 new geographic markets. Mr. Mueller also spent four years as a Strategy Consultant for Deloitte Consulting's Braxton Associates in Boston and Hong Kong, where he focused on strategy development and value-based management projects for clients from a wide array of industries.

Mr. Mueller earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Mechanical Engineering) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
